Wedding rings

For thousands of years rings have represented the affection given from one person to another.
Whether you prefer a simple, elegant band or shimmering diamonds you'll wear your wedding ring for a long time, so we want to help you select a ring which will last.
Have a look at a good selection of rings and let your own taste be your guide. But there are some other things you should consider.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
- Select a reputable jeweller. Recommendations of others are a good place to start.
- The ring should slip on easily and should sit comfortably at the base of the finger.
- Fingers change size depending on temperature. Ask the jeweller about this when you're making decisions.
- When selecting a design consider your skin tone and the size and shape of your hands and fingers. Jewellery you currently prefer will help guide you.
- Diamonds set high or cut with pronounced edges are more likely to catch on clothes.
- Ensure that your engagement ring complements your wedding ring.
INSURANCE
If you don't already have household insurance take out a policy for theft, damage or loss. If you have household insurance you will need to add your ring/s to your policy. This usually only involves a call to your insurance company, but if your ring is expensive you may need a jeweller's valuation. You'll need to insure wedding gifts as well, and you may need special insurance if you're travelling away from home for your honeymoon.
