Cost and packages
As you might expect, the price range for photographers varies enormously, from as little as $500 to as much as $10,000 for a wedding. Most photographers have set packages, however you will need to look closely at them to see what each actually offers. A package may include a photographer for an entire day, plus contact sheets, but with prints costing extra, or it may be for only 3 to 4 hours and a certain number of photographs laid up in an album, or a combination of enlargements, albums and a certain number of photographs. Photographers will often adjust their packages to meet your individual requirements, so outline clearly what you want and you are more likely to be delighted with your photographic record. Also be sure to ask how much additional photographs will cost later.
ON THE DAY
To get all the photos you planned will require some managing from both the photographer and another assigned person from the wedding party. Each family has a person who enjoys instructing others, so let them assist the photographer, and gather people for the group photographs.
